Man alive - I dig this tune so much that I just couldn't contain myself when I started to plan this lesson out. There is SO much here to consider when playing on this tune. And, I am going to give you a BIG chunk right here.
Now the whole idea is to take this tune and "strip" the harmony down all while giving you MORE possibilities to solo - and in different ways as well.
How's that, simplify the harmony and allow for more solo ideas? YUP that is correct!
By taking this tune in a modal direction, we can open it up, get in side the "cracks" and get great solo results, all while eliminating a lot of the "butter" notes.
